Cinnamon Bear Cabin is our personal family cabin on a wooded lot in a private community near pristine lakes, ancient forest, towering mountains - yet featuring modern amenities. CBC would also be a great place to experience the outdoors hiking, kayaking, or home base for day trips on the Olympic Peninsula. Alternately, CBC is ideal for working on an important online project, finishing a book, or telecommuting away from city, noise, and distractions.

Cinnamon Bear Cabin is located near beautiful Lake Cushman, Lake Kokanee, Hood Canal (fjord) and Staircase National Park in the Olympic Mountain Range.

Cinnamon Bear cabin is a perfect gateway to the Olympic Peninsula and the closest old growth rainforest to Seattle-Tacoma-Olympia area. The cabin is situated in a community of other cabins near a golf course, security, and modern amenities such as super clean water, reliable utilities, cellular service (Verizon is best), Wi-Fi, etc. There are no "corporate" hotels or franchises in the area.

There are two complete and private bedrooms upstairs and one full bathroom downstairs. Cinnamon Bear cabin is fully remodeled with all modern amenities, such as full gourmet kitchen, washer and dryer, newer appliances and spacious front deck.

There is WIFI Internet access, but no cable TV - or bring an HDMI cable for your laptop. Internet TV is accessible through the smart DVD player. We have a selection of DVDs for family and kids or you can stream to a big screen TV. Cell phone coverage is spotty, but Verizon definitely works best. Cell phone service quickly diminishes as you head away from the cabin and into the forest.

Nearby activities include: golfing, kayaking, hiking, boating, water skiing, mountain climbing, scuba diving, ancient rainforest, pristine wilderness, fishing, and hundreds of miles of mountain roads. You will need to bring your own toys since there are few such services for rentals. Please do your research about the area - the possibilities are endless but few people to show you around. There are some maps and hiking books at the cabin, but we don't specifically stock them.

There are four large and private waterfront parks with boat ramps and modern facilities - these are NOT open to the public but you may access these areas as a guest of CBC. You will find the access pass hanging on the cork board in the cabin. You must return the pass because the next guest will need it. If you accidentally take the pass with you after checking out, you will be charged to replace it.

Downtown Hoodsport has a modern supermarket, hardware store, gas station, outfitters, several restaurants, ice cream / coffee shops, an antique store, wine tasting, tribal art stores, and gift shops. CBC is close to Little Creek Casino Resort with national acts and entertainment. Alderbrook Country Club is about 20-30 miles away for a high cuisine experience. There are other parks, attractions and access to Hood Canal heading North or South on Route 1 as well. The nearest Starbucks or Big Box store is 15-20 miles away. Please be aware that some amenities may not be available due to COVID19 restrictions.
